The Rx Packet Table


The Rx Packet Table shows every packet transmitted on your network updated every 500ms.


Columns:

Information:

Packet number
Number of packets elapsed between two last packets
Logical Network Id of packet

MAC Address of the source host
Logical Network Id / Node id of the source host
IP of the source host
Host Name of the source host
Name of the source host
Automatic (first available information, priority: Name > Host > IP > LAN / Nid > MAC address)

MAC Address of the destination host
Logical Network Id / Node id of the destination host
IP of the destination host
Host Name of the destination host
Name of the destination host
Automatic (first available information, priority: Name > Host > IP > LAN / Nid > MAC address)

IP of the source IP
Host Name of the source IP
Automatic (first available information, priority: Host > IP)

IP of the destination IP
Host Name of the destination IP
Automatic (first available information, priority: Host > IP)

Number of bytes in packet

Protocol used in packet

Time of packet
Elapsed time between 2 last packets
Elapsed time between last table reset

Actions:

Left click to reset the columns (default columns size/state will be restored)
Right click to reset the window position/size (default window position/size will be restored)

Left click to mask the column (the column will disappear from the table)
Right click to switch the column (the column will show different information)

Left click to memorize the columns (columns size/state will be restored as is when the application will start)
Right click to memorize the window position/size (window position/size will be restored as is on startup)

Left click to enable/disable Auto Sort using last sorted column
Left click on the value to change the Auto Sort timer in seconds
The table will be sorted every X seconds using the last column you chose to sort by

Left click to enable/disable Auto Export using last exported file
Left click on the value to change the Auto Export timer in seconds
Right click to export the table once
The table will be exported once or every X seconds in a readable text file, useful for publishing or logging

Left click to enable/disable the Time To Live
Left click on the value to change the Time To Live in seconds
Items will disappear from the table if not updated within X seconds

Left click to enable/disable the last element focus (the table will always show the last item added)

Left click to pause/resume the display (the table will not be updated but the information will still be recorded)
Right click to pause/resume the table (the table will not be updated and the new information will be lost)

Left click to enable/disable the detailed protocol filter (the table will only show detailed protocol packets)

Left click to refresh the display (the table will be updated, useful in pause mode to update the table at will)

Left click to reset the table (every items will be deleted and the counters will be reset)

Left click to find a string in the table (a text will be located within the table)
Right click to find again the string in the table (the last searched text will be located again within the table)

Left click to print the table (the table will be printed or snapshot to a file)

Left click to load the table (the table will be loaded with a previous saved table)

Left click to save the table (the table will be saved to a file)


Misc:

The progress meter shows the percent of table used, each table has a maximum number of items set using arguments

This icon is a mouse, the red button means that you can right click on the column button to switch the type of information shown in it

This icon is a figure, it means that you can use the corresponding key or figure button to mask/sort the column

This icon is a mix of the two above, it means that you can mix the two features above
